Blackawton Community Shop is a not-for-profit venture run for the benefit of the community. It is run by, and loved by, the residents of Blackawton and is situated at the hub of the village, opposite the church and school and next door to the George Inn.
In September 2018 we were able to move to our new location thanks to grant support from South Hams Community Reinvestment Fund, the National Lottery and Devon County Council.

Meet The Volunteers
The Volunteers are at the heart of the Blackawton Community Shop and Post Office. Without these amazing people, the shop simply wouldn’t be able to run! By volunteering for just one or two hours a week, the team of around 30 volunteers combined allow the shop to be open for most of the week 🙂 If you would love to join in too, please get in touch here – we would be delighted to have you involved!
