The Blackawton Community Shop Grand Opening Day
The Blackawton Community Shop officially opened it’s doors on Saturday 15th September at 11am . The event was well attended with plenty of locals turning out to see The George Pub owner, Ruth Coe, officially cut the ribbon.
Moving the contents from the old shop in it’s location at the end of Vicarage Road, up to the new shop opposite the Church was a great opportunity for everyone in the village to get involved! Locals used wheelbarrows to take the supplies to the new store in time for the opening day.
Locals and visitors alike enjoyed the free tasters and samples available on the opening day. Thanks to all who got involved with setting up the new store for the event and to all those who attended!
